The Bronx Community District 6 The Bronx Community District 6 encompasses Bathgate, Belmont, East Tremont, and West Farms. Covering 1.55 square miles and home to roughly 83,000 residents, it sits in the central Bronx near the Bronx Zoo.
The district contains residential blocks, commercial corridors, schools, parks, and the Bronx Zoo area nearby. Belmont gives it a well-known retail and food identity, but the larger district is also shaped by housing needs, transit access, public health, and the daily work of neighborhood institutions.
