About This District

Staten Island Community District 1

Staten Island Community District 1 encompasses the North Shore neighborhoods, including St. George, Tompkinsville, Stapleton, New Brighton, West Brighton, Port Richmond, Mariners Harbor, Clifton, Rosebank, Silver Lake, Grymes Hill, Westerleigh, and many others. Covering 13.5 square miles and home to more than 170,000 residents, it covers the North Shore, the borough's historic gateway to the harbor and to Manhattan.

The district includes St. George, Tompkinsville, Stapleton, Port Richmond, Mariners Harbor, Clifton, Rosebank, and many other neighborhoods. It has ferry access, waterfront industry, public housing, older commercial corridors, hills, institutions, and some of the borough's densest residential areas.
