MINUTES
Presentation and discussion with representatives for the Trust for Governors Island on the current schematic design process portion of the Park and Public Space Master Plan for Governors Island.
Ellen Cavanagh of the Trust for Governors Island and Kim Mathews and Mathews Nielson, landscape designers discussed the updated plans for Governors Island – mostly park areas.
Governors Island will open on May 27th and close on September 25th. It will be open on holiday Mondays.
First Public Scoping Hearing on April 5th will be on the website. The development part has to go through
ULURP.
Saturdays and Sundays there will be free ferry rides from Brooklyn and Manhattan. On Fridays – paid from Brooklyn but free from Manhattan.
