A motion was made by Tom Miskel and seconded by Peter Fleming to approve the minutes of the previous meeting held on April 11, 2011.
MOTION APPROVED: UNANIMOUSLY
The draft of a letter prepared by the Chair, Daniel Kummer, regarding the legislation to establish marriage equality was presented to the committee. The letter is to be sent to elected officials affirming the 2007 public hearing and full board vote on the subject.
Board member attendance review
The attendance of the following board members was reviewed by the committee: Yvonne Girela, Joseph Igneri, Martha Kenton, Andrea McKnight, Marguerite Scott. Joseph Igneri was given one more month to improve his attendance. It was determined that no action would be taken at this time with the other members.
There being no further business to come before the committee, the meeting was adjourned.
