The meeting was called to order at 6:10PM.
Board Member Attendance issues:
The Executive Committee was compelled to review 2 Board Members who have accumulated 5 or more absences over the last 12-month period of general meetings.
1) Elly Spicer had previously notified the committee of the need for rotator cuff surgery which she is still recovering from. Consensus to take no action at this time. 2) Mark Kolman attended and explained that he has had a busy year with CEC 15 responsibilities and an aging parent. He recommitted himself and stated that his record will improve. Consensus to take no action at this time.
Other business:
Chairperson Kummer briefly recapped our progress in reviewing the EPA’s Proposed Remedial Action Plan for the Gowanus Canal Superfund cleanup. Praised various members for their contributions and reported on the many different components of the plan which are under consideration for comment. Chair welcomed everyone to contribute at the next Environmental Protection Committee meeting where the committee will develop and make recommendations for the Board’s position, to be voted on at April general meeting.
