Presentation and discussion about timely and relevant local educational issues with Margaret Kelley, Education Policy Analyst, Office of the Brooklyn Borough President.
Presentation and discussion with representatives for the Department of Homeless Services and CAMBA on a proposal for up to 30 additional beds for the women’s shelter program at the Park Slope Armory, update on the shelter program, use of space at the Armory head house on 8th Avenue, and other shelter-related issues.
CAMDA will have a tree lighting ceremony at the Armory on December 10th for the holidays.
The Department of Homeless Services approached CAMBA about expanding their capacity by 30 beds for a total of 100 beds at the shelter. The shelter meets quotas for moving the residents out to supportive housing.
