Red Hook is _____________ but still removed from the city. They will hire locally for catering and supplies. Addiction is blind and will welcome those struggling with addiction. Not hospital based, residential meeting in demand in NY. Family participation is crucial. Abstinence based model – multiple morality of treatment. Funding – completely self-funded not government.
Community Board had questions:
Education efforts Assessment and referral services Training opportunities for youth ___________works

Scholarships – a guarantee of Financial Aid. Interesting with 12 step program. No unsupervised patients.
Construction: 5000 square feet – 4 stories. Construction – 6 to 12 months. Can’t secure patients. Outpatient services in another facility probably not in Red Hook.
Not a methadone clinic. Will use clinicians to help drug problems in the neighborhood.
Economic benefits for Red Hook: Local food purchases Donating to local care Administration and catering not a huge amount.
