Will help to control rats and other pesky vermin Twice a week pick up. 1-2 family will get 2 (13 gal.) receptacles, 3-9 family will get 1 (21 gal.), 10+ family by request only. Every household gets a kitchen receptacle.
Use only paper or compostable liners – no plastic bags. Bones, meat, cheese and yard waste are okay. Anything that grows – goes! Al cooking residue and all leftovers. Pickup will occur the next day after a holiday. This is voluntary – no fines. Missing bin application at: nyc.gov.sanitation
