CHAIRPERSON’S REPORT…………………………………………......SAYAR LONIAL, BOARD CHAIR
Chairperson Lonial opened his remarks by thanking committee chairs and those who took minutes for getting them into the district office on time. This allowed time for Assistant District Manager Ty Beatty to more thoroughly review motions with committee chairs, which led to a more complete and accurate general board agenda.
Mr. Lonial again thanked WNET and Council Member Lander for their work in allowing the meeting to be live- streamed.
The Chair reminded attendees of the Board’s Holiday Get Together to be held on December 18th at Royal Palsm Shuffle Board Club in Gowanus. There is no ticketing process and attendance is free. He asked that anyone interested in attending contact the district office to RSVP.
Chairperson Lonial closed his report by informing the board of a planned Community Advisory Board that will be convened by BKCB-6. The CAB will work with city agencies, local elected, and the Cobble Hill Association to help remediate any issues relevant to the various individual projects being developed by Fortis on the former LICH site.
