 COMMITTEE REPORTS 

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE…………………………………………...PETER FLEMING, BOARD CHAIR

Board Chair Peter Fleming brought to the floor the draft response letter to the recently published draft scoping of the Department of City Planning’s proposed Gowanus Rezoning, a letter to which many Board Members as well as the District Office staff had contributed to thus far.

Conversation ensued among Board Members for the better part of the forty-five minutes, with some Board Members posing questions, comments, and concerns relevant to the content and tone of the letter, followed by response from those who have been most directly involved in the drafting.

Given the timeline for response, the Board settled on a plan of action which allowed Members to spend a few days further reviewing the letter and offering final thoughts and edits, which would then be implemented before the final draft of the letter was reviewed by the Executive Committee.

Motion: To empower the Executive Committee to consider, implement, and approve final changes to the drafted response letter to the recently published draft scoping of the Department of City Planning’s proposed Gowanus Rezoning.
