CHAIRPERSON’S REPORT…………………………………………...PETER FLEMING, BOARD CHAIR

Board Chair Peter Fleming opened the meeting with brief remarks, welcoming all attendees and thanking them for their continued work on the Board through a tumultuous year. Mr. Fleming pointed out that the agenda referencing Board Elections was written in error, as the Board Elections were resolved the previous month via acclamation, and he reported that the Landmarks and Land Use portion of the agenda would go first this month.

Mr. Fleming announced that there is now an expectation that the Department of City Planning will certify the proposed Gowanus Rezoning on January 19, 2021, which will begin the Board’s review window, and that he expects to hold meetings in both the Land Use committee and the Economic, Waterfront, and Community Development committee once the time comes. The Board Chair closed his remarks by wishing all attendees a Happy Holiday season. 1

DISTRICT MANAGER’S REPORT……………………MICHAEL RACIOPPO, DISTRICT MANAGER

District Manager Michael Racioppo offered brief remarks, directing attendees to the Board’s uploaded virtual meetings on youtube and asked anyone interested in his regular emails to contact him via email.
