I hope this email finds you on another unseasonably warm and rainy day. While it’s raining now, snow is headed our way and with that in mind, Alternate Side Parking is suspended tomorrow, Wednesday, December 11th .

I hope this email finds you on another unseasonably warm and rainy day. While it’s raining now, snow is headed our way and with that in mind, Alternate Side Parking is suspended tomorrow, Wednesday, December 11th . However, our December General Board Meeting , which is the last of the year and decade, will still be held at the Cobble Hill Health Center and start at 6:30 PM.

Before that, tonight, Tuesday, December 10th , there’s a “ Know Your Rights Forum ” hosted by Borough President Adams at Brooklyn Borough Hall , and at the  Green Building , they’ll be a panel discussion, featuring our very own Eric McClure, titled “ Net Zero for Neighborhoods .”

I repeat that tomorrow, Wednesday, December 11th, our General Board Meeting will be held at the Cobble Hill Health Center. On Thursday, December 12th , the  Carroll Gardens Association (CGA) will host a  census job workshop  at their  Columbia Street office .

CGA is also one of 3 organizations based in our community district that’s been awarded funds from the 2020 Census NYC Complete Count Fund . The other 2 BKCB6 based groups are the Red Hook Initiative and the Fifth Avenue Committee . So thank you to those groups doing the job of ensuring that all New Yorkers are counted so that we get our fair share of representation and funding .

Speaking of funding awards, the Park Slope Civic Council is seeking worthy applicants to their Community Grant program . These programs may include projects involving art, education, youth, and civic improvement. Click here for more info and how to apply.

A week from tomorrow, our  Parks Committee will meet   on  Wednesday, December 18th  at  PS 58  to hear more about the  Carroll Park redesign , on  Thursday,   December 19th ,    Assemblymember Carroll has an open house   and on Friday,  December 20th   Assemblymember Simon has an open house .
