I hope this email finds you well on this sunny Wednesday .
Last week at our January Board meeting , we discussed securing another meeting regarding the RAD program at 572 & 574 Warren Street. I’m happy to let people know that NYCHA WILL hold a meeting next Tuesday, January 21 st , 6:30 PM at the Wyckoff Community Center (just across the street from 572 & 574 Warren Street). There will be representatives from NYCHA , the development/management team, and Legal Aid . The purpose of this meeting will be to have the tenant’s questions about various issues answered as clearly and directly as possible. Big thanks to the tenants at Warren Street, including our very own Joe Anne Brown, who has worked tirelessly to make sure their neighbors have as much information as possible.
Speaking of NYCHA, I want to, again, remind anyone who has followed along to this point that the issue of significant improvements to living conditions for NYCHA residents must be secured as part of the pending Gowanus Rezoning .
I’ll step off my soapbox and just let you know that if you keep scrolling, you can find some interesting and useful items, including a " Telephone Town Hall " with Congresswoman Yvette Clarke , information for parents of school children, and more from GBD.
Have a good evening, feel free to share this information however/wherever you’d like .
