Last night, as previewed in previous emails, our Youth Human Services and Education Committee met at the Pacific Street Library. The agenda consisted of 2 presentations.

Last night, as previewed in previous emails, our Youth Human Services and Education Committee met at the Pacific Street Library. The agenda consisted of 2 presentations.

The first presentation was from the Brooklyn Public Library about necessary renovations to the Carroll Gardens Branch's HVAC system, which will result in a temporary closure of the library beginning next year. As we learn more about the timeline for the closing, we will share it in a future email, and that's a good reason to read these preambles.

The second presentation was from the Noel Pointer Foundation, a music education nonprofit for children, about their plans to establish their headquarters on Degraw Street . If you weren't there or want to try reliving the experience, check out both presentations here.

Today is, of course, a busy one across our community with a Cobble Hill Association meeting at PS 29 , while the YMCA hosts a jobs fair at the Park Slope Armory .There is, as usual, other stuff happening in the not too distant future, like next week's Transportation meeting , and other items you'll find below.
