We inch closer to “reopening,” but even when we do, there’s likely to be a new normal that includes mask-wearing for the foreseeable future. This should be the expectation until some guarantee of safety via vaccine or proven (bleach free ) treatments, as it’s the safest route we’ve got and remember, while not as dramatic, or profitable, as mask-wearing superheroes, doing so saves lives.

As always, I write this hoping it finds you well. While there is no legislative anniversary equivalent to yesterday’s 85th New Deal Anniversary, our state legislature’s back in session and there is always the possibility it will make history of its own. Hopefully, policies to help tenants, landlords, and businesses become law sooner than later. One example, at the state level, would be Assemblymember Carroll’s Business Interruption bill and at the federal level, Congresswoman Maloney’s bill .

There are more things “in session” listed below as well as some reminders and natural resources. If you choose to check them out, that’s great, but no matter what you decide to do, enjoy the rest of your Thursday.
