I don't know if it's due to COVID-19, the content or curfew paired with a compulsion to send a newsletter every weekday, but whatever the reason is, I'd like to say "thank you" for the tremendous response it has received, especially the last two days . Anyone who enjoys riffing on Rousseau is a friend of mine.
Again, we're asked to be inside before 8 PM and every day until Monday, June 8th. June 8tth is also, Ironically, and fittingly, the day we begin phase one of " reopening " from the COVID-19 stay at home order. Remember when you come home from protests or when we officially reopen be mindful of others who may be vulnerable.
The MTA has announced that the ' " reopenin g " will be the return of 'regular service." I used quotes for "regular service'' because it is what the MTA said but, since it won't include 24 service , it's not quite accurate. I'm not a linguist or a lawyer, but I don't see how anything can be characterized as returning to "regular" while ignoring mentioning something that hadn't stopped for over a century .
Anyway, just like regular weekdays, and almost always before 8 PM, there are some useful items below my email signature. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of the day as much as you can.
