The national record number of Covid-19 infections across the country reinforces that our rigorous practice of social distancing and face covering is working and that we need to keep doing it: no weekend rule suspensions or anything like that.

Speaking of suspensions, the City has canceled all large permitted events (not block parties) through September 30th while Alternate Side Parking regulations are back in effect starting this coming Monday, July 13th and if that were to change I'd send out a notice immediately. Also, as the specifics of the, not quite suspended, 2020/2021 school year are determined, I've been in discussions with District 15's leadership. I'd like to note ho helpful D15 has been throughout the pandemic. I will pass along

information and clarifications on this matter as it is received.

Over the weekend, there are things to do aside from waiting for the next newsletter. You can, for example, read this piece on street uses, go to a boathouse jam , check out open streets and open restaurants , keep reading this email, or anything else you can do safely. Keep in mind the safer we all are, the faster we’ll get to phase 4 of our reopening, and some semblance of normalcy or, as Dr. Fauci says, normality.

No matter what you choose to do, in case you missed the point: stay safe,wear a mask, and have a good weekend.
