I hope this email finds you well as we head into, what is for some, a three day weekend while hoping to contain COVID-19 clusters and stopping any spikes from spreading.

I hope this email finds you well as we head into, what is for some, a three day weekend while hoping to contain COVID-19 clusters and stopping any spikes from spreading. 

Of course, to do that, we’ve got to keep our distance and, as they say, “mask up.” This is especially important as there are happenings across our community this weekend, and beyond that, you can find out about by reading past my signature. 

Before that, I’d like to remind you that next Wednesday is our October General board meeting, held via zoom beginning at 6:30 PM. Also, on the CB6 Calendar, the following week is our Landmark/Land Use meeting on Thursday, October 22nd, via zoom. The agenda is still in formation, but kicking off the meeting will be the Department of City Planning discussing some of its precertification plans and the Gowanus Rezoning timeline. If you want to submit questions in advance of the meeting, I’m happy to accept them and pass them along to DCP(they will also take questions during the meeting).

With that, I’ll say have a good weekend, check out some policy suggestions in the Brooklyn Paper, and take note that Alternate Side Parking is suspended through Monday, and trash pick-up is suspended on Monday.
