I hope this email finds you well as we head into what is supposed to be, in contrast with today, quite sunny. I prefer rain, but if you're outside, please keep your face covered and your distance as there, as always, are some interesting happening, and I don't think anyone wants to resume a "PAUSE" or mimic Europe’s latest lockdowns

You can find those interesting items below my email signature, but before that, I have a few quick CB6 centered reminders that won't require any masking.

On Wednesday, October 21st, our Parks Committee meets at 6:30 PM, and our Landmarks/Land Use Committee is meeting on Thursday, October 22nd, at 6:00 PM. The Landmarks/Land Use meeting has received some coverage due to the agenda, which will include a presentation from the Department of City Planning (DCP). That presentation will outline their timeline for in advance of the Gowanus rezoning being certified (the first stage of the ULURP) in January 2021.

While we don't have a confirmed agenda for our Permits & Licenses meeting that would usually be held on the 4th Monday of the month, it will be held instead on the 4TH Tuesday, if it is to take place October 27th. Of course, I'll keep you posted as I think it's understandable that, given the current conditions, there is some reluctance for opening a restaurant or bar and thus applying for a liquor license.

With that, I'll say have a good weekend, check out stately suggestions in the Brooklyn Paper, and stay safe.

Best,
