I hope this email finds you well as we enter a spring-like weekend and, for antiquated reasons, lose an hour of sleep. Although, in the time of COVID, time seems to be a flat circle. Regardless of how time is experienced, our community remains active. This week and the next few will be no exception.

This coming Thursday, our Transportation & Public Safety Committee meets and will hear from DOT about the CitiBike program’s expansion and be introduced to the new Commanding Officer at the 78th Precinct. Before that, specifically tomorrow, Saturday, Match 13th, Congresswoman Velasquez will host a small business workshop over Zoom.

Speaking of Congresswoman Velasquez, she’s re-introduced legislation that would ban non-essential helicopter traffic over NYC. I mention this since we’ve been supportive of it in the recent past. Hopefully, based on the volume of complaints, literally and figuratively, this bill draws enough legislative support to become law. 

On that note, I’ll recommend you keep reading but, more importantly, that you stay safe, have a good weekend, and check your clocks!
