If you read The New York Times today, you may have noticed, A1 above the fold, a story titled “ Delta Variant and Rise in Cases Has New Yorkers ‘Scared All Over Again.”  I mention this for two reasons. First, it’s a good excuse to remind everyone who is yet to be vaccinated against Covid-19 that they should do so and collect 100 dollars. Secondly, as someone who enjoys promoting all things CB6,  a CB6 resident & reporter, Sadef Ali Kully, contributed to this excellent piece that unfortunately, and accurately, reminds us we aren’t in a post-pandemic world. 

With the unfortunate theme, tonight’s “Summer Movies Under the Stars” screening of “Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse” has been rescheduled for August 26th. While not an official position of Community Board 6, I recommend trying to catch it then as I enjoyed it when I saw it. I also hope this doesn't elicit as strong of a response as when I’ve mentioned that I’m not too fond of Star Wars. Maybe I shouldn't have reminded you.

On that note, I’ll stop and recommend reading past my signature, where you'll find items of potential interest. Lastly, I extend my wishes for you to stay safe, stay dry and enjoy the rest of your Thursday.
