I hope this email finds you well following our final full board meeting of 2021. It was an efficient meeting with Eric McClure temporarily taking the reins as chair as Peter Fleming is under the weather.

I hope this email finds you well following our final full board meeting of 2021. It was an efficient meeting with Eric McClure temporarily taking the reins as chair as Peter Fleming is under the weather. But, of course, we hope Peter is feeling better asap. 

The voting agenda consisted of 2 liquor licenses which were unanimously approved. One was for Pasta Louise at 1114 8th Avenue, which was most recently, and for a long time, the Johnny Mack’s Location. The second liquor license application was a class change from an existing Wine, Beer & Cider license to a full On-Premises Liquor License on behalf of Simply Greek at 242 5th Avenue.

Along with the votes we heard from Assemblymembers Simon & Carroll, and Senator Myrie.  Councilmember Brad Lander spoke to us for the final time as a Council member but promised to make the occasional appearance as Comptroller, We also heard from Senator Kavanagh’s Office and the Department of Sanitation representatives. While on the subject of sanitation, there were inquires about the upcoming disposal of Christmas Trees; they’ll be collected starting on January 6 through January 15th.
