I hope this email finds you well on this rainy 7th day of April. I have two items to highlight today.

First, keeping with the budgeting theme, our Executive(Governor) and Legislative (Assembly, Senate) branches have reached an agreement for the Fiscal Year 2023. The highlights and newsworthy shifts of the 220 Billion dollar package include criminal justice and bail law changes, a gas-tax holiday, to-go drinks, and subsidies for the only NFL team that plays its home games in New York State. If those two sentences left you wanting more details, the TimesNY1 have more thorough overviews.

Secondly, the more mico of the two items is the RFP for the Gowanus Rezoning Oversight task force facilitator, which is now available. The RFP is essentially a job application. You can find it by clicking here or going to bit.ly/GowanusTaskForceRFP.

More details on these items, Participatory Budgeting, covid stats, and more are listed below. I suggest you check them out, but more importantly, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your Thurssday.

Best,
