Second, the highly contagious Covid-19 subvariant, B.2.12.1, continues to spread in this 5th wave of the pandemic. Positivity rates are as high as 20% percent in some parts of the city, but the cases are much more likely to be mild if the person is vaccinated and boosted. So, if you haven’t already, be like the Governor and make an appointment to get vaccinated and boosted asap by going to vax4nyc.nyc.gov.
