Due to calendar conflicts, our 2nd Vice-Chair, Jerry Armer, chaired the meeting. Running a full board meeting was a familiar role for Jerry as he’s previously been board chair for multiple terms and may hold a record for most meetings chaired. Thank you to Jerry for getting us through last night's agenda.

That agenda focused on four applications for Certificates of Appropriateness (C of A). All four were approved and located within the Cobble Hill Historic District. The application to install a new rooftop bulkhead and solar canopy at 171 Baltic Street required more debate and something resembling a roll call vote. The remaining three items required less debate for their approval. In between those votes, Councilmember Restler discussed his climate action plan and legislation.

We also heard from other legislative and government offices and community members. One of the topics was the proliferation of last-mile warehouses in Red Hook and work being done to curtail their impact.
