Hoping this email finds you well during summer's second day. I have follow-ups and reminders for the near future.
Hoping this email finds you well during summer's second day. I have follow-ups and reminders for the near future.
Last night DOT presented to our Transportation & Public Safety Committee regarding the BQE. The presentation was an overview of the need for interim repairs and closures. You can read DOT’s presentation and see the meeting on our Youtube page. One other follow-up, the Red Hook Coastal Resiliency project (RHCR), has uploaded the presentation materials from last week's meeting.
Tomorrow, June 23rd, we have the Last Mile Warehouse Forum at 5 PM in the auditorium of Red Hook’s PS 15. We are co-sponsoring the Forum with Councilmember Alexa Aviles, and it will include representatives from the DOT, DCP, and EDC. RSVP for the forum at: bit.ly/last-mileforum.
Later on tomorrow, over Zoom at 6:30 PM, CB6 Landmarks/Land Use and CB6 Parks / Environmental Protection Committees will host a joint meeting focused on Gowanus. DCP will present a quarterly update regarding the ongoing Gowanus Rezoning, and DEP will discuss the design of the DSNY salt shed. Register for this meeting at bit.ly/BKCB6June23GowanusUpdates.
There’s more below my email signature, so I’d suggest scrolling past here. But, whether you scroll or not, enjoy the rest of your Wednesday.
