To those who'll soon celebrate snakes being driven into the sea, I say "Happy Saint Patrick's Day or, in Gaelic, "Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona duit!". Whether or not you're celebrating, I hope this email finds you well as we head into the weekend, a weekend that'll include the more famous Saint Patrick's Parade on Saturday and the better Saint Patrick's Parade right here in CB6 along Prospect Park West on the actual Saint Patrick's Day, Sunday Match 17th. There's also a half marathon on Sunday, so be mindful of traffic changes. 

The parades and half marathon follow a week that saw our Full Board Meet on Wednesday, March 13th. At the full board meeting, we approved a street co-naming for the D'amicos, two landmark applications, exciting plans for the Old Stone House, and five liquor licenses. A liquor license of particular interest was for 521 Hicks Street, where the owners of Cafe Spaghetti and Swoony's will open a Chinese restaurant. 

This week also saw Park Slope's Fifth Avenue named the coolest street in the city. Unfortunately, one of the things that makes it so cool, Open Streets, is threatened by budget cuts, which has spurred efforts to avoid such a shortsighted fate.
