I hope you're doing well in May's final hours. In June's first

In June's first hours, the BQE will be fully closed from Atlantic Avenue to Sands Street from Saturday, June 1, at 2 a.m. to Monday, June 3, at 4 a.m.

In June's first hours, the BQE will be fully closed from Atlantic Avenue to Sands Street from Saturday, June 1, at 2 a.m. to Monday, June 3, at 4 a.m. Taking public transportation is always a good idea, but it's especially true this weekend.

Understandably, the BQE closure is big, but other things have happened and will happen in our orbit. For example, last night, the Cobble Hill Association had its spring meeting(shout out to Amanda and all of CHA for an excellent job), on Tuesday, our Permits & Licenses committee approved liquor licenses, and last Thursday, our Landmarks/ Land Use committee unanimously approved the City of Yes housing opportunity and the progressive caucus's Homes Now plan.

The items our committees approved are heading to our next full board meeting. Our next full board meeting is Wednesday, June 12th, at 6:30 PM, and it will be in a hybrid format: in person at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and virtually over Zoom.

I've listed more, like the Arts Gowanus parade and Red Hook Fest, below, so I suggest scrolling and reading the rest. No matter what you do, I wish you the best, and hopefully, this isn't the last time I say it; let's go, Rangers!

Best,
Mike Racioppo, District Manager
