February’s first weekend is slated to see snow and the commercial celebration, which is the Super Bowl. I had been rooting for Eli Manning to be named a Hall of Famer last night, but that didn’t happen, so I’ll resume rooting against all things Philadelphia. Since I doubt anyone reads this for my thoughts on sports, I’ll be brief and shift to civics. 

First, DSNY has issued a Snow Alert for tomorrow, Saturday, February 8th, beginning at 1:00 p.m. A wintry mix is expected to start things off, followed by snow in the evening. The heaviest snowfall is expected between 7 p.m. and midnight, with an accumulation of between 3 and 5 inches. 

Second, considering the weather, it’s as good of a time as any to take the Cobble Hill Association’s BMT Waterfront Redevelopment survey and read over all the materials the task force has received and other items we’ve been adding at bit.ly/bmtcb6cha. 

Third, thanks to everyone who has contacted me with ideas regarding charter revisions, including encouragement to repeal the “mistake of 98.” I’ll discuss this further during our Full Board meeting at the Van Alen Institute on Wednesday, February 12th, at 6:30 PM.
