CB6 & Beyond does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information from its users. The app does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking tools.
When you use features such as the address search or land use lookup, the address you enter is sent to the NYC Geoclient API, an official New York City government service, in order to return geographic information about that address. No user identifier is attached to these requests, and the data is not retained by the app.
If you tap the "Find My Community Board" button, the app will request your device location through the standard iOS permission prompt. Your latitude and longitude are sent only to the NYC Geoclient API in order to return the Community Board for that location. Your location is not stored, logged, transmitted to the app developer, or shared with any other service. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings, and the rest of the app remains fully functional without it.
Interactive maps are rendered using OpenStreetMap and CARTO basemap tiles, which may log standard server request information (such as tile coordinates and approximate location). These are governed by their own privacy policies. No personal data is sent.
The app contains links to official government sites including nyc.gov, NYC Open Data, NY State Senate, and the New York City Council. Once you follow an external link, you are subject to that site's privacy practices.
This app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
