Brooklyn Marine Terminal Development Corporation

Brooklyn Marine Terminal Development Corporation

Local development corporation · Red Hook waterfront

The Brooklyn Marine Terminal Development Corporation (BMTDC) was formed after the Brooklyn Marine Terminal Task Force approved the vision plan in 2025, to take the redevelopment of the Brooklyn Marine Terminal from vision to reality.

Local development corporations like the BMTDC are common in major New York redevelopments, since they are not subject to the same debt limits as municipal governments.
