Demographics
In 2023, Stuyvesant Town/Turtle Bay was the city’s 4th largest neighborhood by population out of 59 neighborhoods. Among the 59 districts, it has the 54th largest proportion of nonwhite population, the 7th highest median income, and the 3rd most expensive rents. From 2010 to 2024, the district added 5,236 new housing units, 4,754 units of which were market rate and 482 units of which were income restricted.
