Manhattan Community District 8

Manhattan Community District 8 encompasses Yorkville, Upper East Side, Lenox Hill, Roosevelt Island, Mill Rock, and Carnegie Hill. Covering 2.5 square miles and home to more than 220,000 residents, it covers the Upper East Side and Roosevelt Island.

It is a district of apartment towers, historic blocks, hospitals, museums, schools, parks, and East River waterfront infrastructure, combining some of the city's highest-density residential areas with major institutions.
