Every figure is the Health Department's own published value for that community district and that time period. Nothing here is modelled, re-weighted or recalculated; where the department suppressed a value for being unreliable or too small, it is absent rather than estimated.
Community districts are not how health data is usually collected. Many of these measures are surveyed or modelled at neighbourhood level and published to districts, so treat a single district figure as an estimate with real uncertainty around it, especially for smaller districts and rarer outcomes. The portal publishes confidence intervals; where a measure has one, this page shows the point estimate only.
Different measures cover different years, and the periods are not aligned. The year shown next to each value is the latest period the department has published for that measure, which for some is a single year and for others a multi-year average.
Rank is a plain ordering of the 59 districts on the latest value. It says nothing about whether a difference is statistically meaningful.
Life expectancy comes from a different publication to everything else on this page. It is from the Health Department's 2026 Community Health Profiles, covering 2013 to 2022 for districts and boroughs and 2022 for the city, because the Environment and Health Data Portal does not publish life expectancy at any geography.
