Speaking of 2020" firsts", last night, our Permits & Licenses Committee met and unanimously recommended, without a quorum, a sidewalk café application for Pizza Secret at 72 5th Avenue and will be up for motion and ratification at tomorrow’s meeting.

Another 2020 "first" was this morning's “ Java with Jo Anne , ” which had multiple members of our executive committee i n attendance . If you haven’t been to a “Java” if you have the chance, it’s a great way to get to know Assemblymember Simon and her staff. When the next “Java” is scheduled, you can be sure it’ll be shared in a BKCB6 Update.

If you choose to keep scrolling, you’ll find more things happening for the first time this year, including tonight’s 76 th  Precinct Community Council meeting led by our very own Jerry Armer.

Of course, it’s always possible you’ve seen something I missed in our active community, so if there is a community-centric item you’d like me to include,  please reach out.

Have a great evening, and feel free to share  this information.

P.S. Please forgive any typos or brain freezes in the text as I get these updates out in haste at the end of the day.

Best,
Mike Racioppo, District Manager
