I hope this email finds you well after a winter weekend that, based on only from the attire, could've taken place in the fall or spring.

We start by noting that State Senator Velmanette Montgomery , who has represented much of our BkCB6 district for nearly 40 years, announced that she is retiring at the end of her current term . We will miss her tireless work for all, but especially for at-risk children. We thank her for her years dedicated to our community. Whoever succeeds her will have some very large shoes to fill.

Following the thread of concern for children, one of the things happening this week is the Citizen Squirrell workshop . BKCB6 is a co-sponsor, and it is taking place tomorrow, from 3:30 until 5:00 pm at the Park Slope Library . There are of course other items, and happenings, taking place around us but for those and an eminently shareable Citizen Squirrel Flyer , you’ll have to keep scrolling.
