1- This Saturday and Sunday is “Chipping Weekend” of “Mulchfest” . When you bring your tree to one of the locations listed here your tree goes into a chipper and is converted into mulch for NYC's trees or you can take home a bag of mulch that can be used however you see fit.
2- Interesting piece on the history of a few libraries in our district.
3- The BQE and its repair is an issu e that many of us here, across Brooklyn and in the the borough that represents the "Q" portion of BQE, care about. It's safe to say we want as much information and engagement as possible. If you’d like to attend a rally asking for precisely that there is one happening tomorrow at 11 AM at the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.
4 - As a city, and as humans that don’t want to be extinct, resiliency is obviously an incredibly important issue. For that reason I’d recommend checking out the NYC Resiliency Map.
