Feeling like Liz Lemon  ?  There are few better cures than a list of useful pieces of information from your trusty Community Board.

1 -For the final time I remind you that tonight is the  forum we are co-sponsoring on specialized high school admissions. It will take place at MS 51 from 6:30PM to 8PM.

2 - The  Department of City Planning  just sent out an important save the date notice. On February 6 th , from 6 PM until 8 PM, at  PS 32   they are hosting an open house focused on the  next steps in the Gowanus rezoning process.  

3 -Tomorrow morning, from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM, at  One Girl Cookies ,  Assemblywoman Jo Anne Simon  w ill be hosting the  latest in her “Java with Jo Anne” meetings.

While you must cross the border into a neighboring community district no passport is required and it is an excellent opportunity to meet with someone who represents so many of us in the state legislature. 

4 - Tell your children not to forget their hats and mittens;    DSNY has issued a snow alert for tomorrow. Staying with DSNY updates, remember Monday we honor Martin Luther King Jr., there will be no trash, recycling, or organics collections on the holiday.

So if you normal trash or organics collection is Monday’s put it curbside any time after 4 PM so it can be picked up on Tuesday, January 22 nd . If Monday is your recycling day you are asked to put it curbside any time after 4 PM on Sunday January 27 th  in order to be picked up on Monday January 28 th .

Residents who normally receive Monday trash or organics collection should place their material out at curbside after 4 p.m. on Monday, January 21.

5- Alternate side parking rules, and meters, will be in effect tomorrow Thursday, January 17 th .
