I’m sending my list of, potentially useful and meaningful, items a bit earlier than usual as I am attending and need time to get to the  Civic Engagement event that begins at 4 PM  and I wanted to remind you and give you time to get  there.

1-  The  Green New  Deal is something that has created a buzz and garnered much support. Many people want to know more about it, so  on February 5 th , the “Sunrise Movement” will be broadcasting more specific details and strategy.

If you read that and thought “That’s sounds interesting but where could I find out this information in a more social setting? I have an answer for you. 

Our very own Hildegaard Link, and Resilient Red Hook , of which she is a Co- Chair, will be hosting a live streaming party on the evening  of February 5th from 7:00-9:30  pm at  153 Coffey Street.

2 -Interesting piece on the various ways people commute across the country. Always interesting to compare and contrast and, hopefully, lead to discussions and improvements.

3 - See what’s being built, demolished or altered in our district .

4- Alternate side parking rules, and meters, will be in effect tomorrow Thursday, January 24 th .
