In these waning hours of the month, I'd suggest taking the time to check out the items below …..

As has been noted, and supported, electric car charging stations are coming to the district. There will be 3 stations, and over the coming weeks The Department of Transportation (DOT) will be studying the following locations: 

‌

- 13th Street from 5th to 6th Avenue

- 3rd Street from 4th to 5th Avenue

- 7th Street from 7th Avenue to 8th Avenue

- Prospect Park West from 10 to 11th Street

- Prospect Park West 5th to 6th Street

If you’d like to give feedback on these locations I am more than happy to let DOT know what you think but you can also tell them by clicking here .

A very common question is "how many parking spaces will each station take?" The answer is each charger will take a maximum of 2 spots for a total "loss" of 6

across our district .

 Tomorrow, August 1st, as previously noted "Java with Jo Anne" features mocha ice cream at the Fireboat House location of Ample Hills.  A week from tonight The Parks Department and The EPA will hold a meeting at the Miccio Center updating the community on the cleanup of the Red Hook Ball Fields. Council Members Lander & Reynoso on the "missed" opportunity regarding comprehensive planning. Alternate Side Parking rules will be in effect tomorrow, Thursday, August 1st. Parking meters will also be in effect. Subway service changes for tomorrow, August 1st. Bus service changes for tomorrow, August 1st.
