I hope this email finds you well on this twenty-second day of October as we are expecting more rain this evening . For those who to keep reading, you’ll find some familiar, as well as new, reminders and something of a parking plot twist.

For those who to keep reading, you’ll find some familiar, as well as new, reminders and something of a parking plot twist. But first I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate our very own Joe Anne Brown on being honored by her Union, DC 37, as well as the Department of Education for her 20 years of service in our public schools. Congratulations Joe Anne!

Moving to the non-congratulatory portion of this email….

You may be inured to my reminders about all things voting, but I will not be dissuaded, especially in the first year of early voting ! Any questions about early voting? Come by the Miccio Center tonight, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, as Assemblymember Ortiz is hosting an early voting forum .

Also, tonight, CEC15 will be meeting at P.S 38, 450 Pacific Street while the Gowanus CAG meets at Saint Mary's Star of the Sea, 41 1st Street.

As I keep mentioning, 2 of our committees will be meeting this week. On Wednesday, aka tomorrow, our Youth, Human Services, and Education Committee   will meet at the   Red Hook Library  to hear plans for the library's redesign, as well as a presentation from the   NYC 2020 Census Complete Count . On Thursday, October 24 th, our  Landmarks/ Land Use Committee meets  to review one landmark application. 

Looking briefly to next week, on Monday, October 28th, at 6:00 pm , our  Permits and Licenses Committee  meets at 250 Baltic Street in the Cobble Hill Community Room.

Have you read this far? Well, if you did, here comes the plot twist I referred to above. Unlike today,  alternate side parking (ASP) regulations will be in effect tomorrow, Wednesday, October 23 rd, and, like every other day, there will be planned service changes on   subways  and  buses .
