As always, our community is going to be busy as the post- plastic bag era begins. Tonight there is a Warren Street tenants meeting that will get started at 7 PM in the meeting room at 572 Warren Street .

As always, our community is going to be busy as the post- plastic bag era begins. Tonight there is a Warren Street tenants meeting that will get started at 7 PM in the meeting room at 572 Warren Street . The purpose of this meeting is to get further clarity for residents as they transition to the RAD program.

Ensuring that the RAD program, which itself presents issues, is properly implemented, requires continued vigilance by the community. The residents of Warren Street, all of whom have been incredibly welcoming and engaged throughout this process deserve to see follow through on promised upgrades.

Such vigilance doesn’t just apply to Warren Street and, it’s crucial that capital needs and other improvements for NYCHA residents be secured in advance of the pending Gowanus rezoning.

There’s lots more happening throughout the week including a CB6 Transportation committee meeting , a Red Hook Parks update , a 76th Precinct Community Council meeting and other items that you’ll learn about by reading beyond my signature.
