After speaking with multiple tenants, before, during, and after last night's meeting, it's clear that, as this RAD conversion has taken place, some improvements in living conditions have been made but there is still much progress and clarity to be had. This need for greater clarity is especially true when it comes to scheduling apartment renovations. Without it people have ended up taking days off from work with nobody showing up to make the renovations which leads to lost pay and time for residents on top of a failure to improve living conditions. It should also be noted that many residents want there to be permanent, not temporary, on-site security. 

We'll continue to work with residents and advocate to make sure that the issues are resolved, along with getting necessary funding secured as part of the pending Gowanus rezoning .

Looking ahead, as usual,our community is busy throughout the week. Tonight, the Parks Department will host a Red Hook Parks update at 155 Bay Street beginning at 6:30 PM, tomorrow the 76th Precinct Community Council meets and on Thursday our Transportation Committee meets at the 78th precinct.
