I'd like to start by wishing a safe and speedy recovery to Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez , who has been diagnosed with a presumed COVID-19 infection. It is indisputable that she, and her excellent staff, fight for our community every day and, as her statement noted , that will continue as she fights off this virus.
That hard work, for example, has resulted in help for small businesses. As you know, we daily ask you to support local businesses, if at all possible. Resources, such as information on how to help small businesses and other items can be found by scrolling below my email signature.
Before scrolling down to those resources and items of interest, it's important to keep driving home why it's vital that we STAY HOME .

So, when something like a ship comes in, don't gather to see it. I love arrivals too, but staying home, as we social distance, is our best and proven option . As a teaser, I want you to know that we are working on setting up an informational (via Zoom) BKCB6 meeting in the near future. When it is set up and confirmed, I'll let everyone know.
Lastly, but not least, thank you to Sacred Hearts and Saint Stephens , and anyone else who has shared this newsletter and sign up sheet . It's much appreciated and has helped us to share information across our community.
Feel free to share this information ; however you'd like and stay safe.
