I'd like to start by thanking everyone, especially the technical support from Brad Lander and his staff, which made our May "Check-in" happen. I appreciate the participation of all the panelists, including State Attorney General, Tish James , and City Comptroller, Scott Stringe r. We are blown away by the community engagement of the close to 200 "attendees." You can  click here  to relive the magic or see it for the first time via YouTube. Lastly, thanks for all the feedback during and after the "Check-in," which ran the gamut from my lack of a haircut to my favorite hockey team. 

As much as I enjoyed "emceeing," I'd rather have our meetings in person, but of course, this pandemic requires changes and will for at least awhile longer . Some of those changes, especially through policy, were discussed last night, and we covered a lot of topics, including state and city legislation, fiscal matters, the 2020 census, small businesses, schools, streets, buildings , banks , utilities, and hospitals.
