I hope this email finds you well after a weekend that saw the return of outdoor dining and the 50th anniversary of the Pride March and the 51st anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.

I hope this email finds you well after a weekend that saw the return of outdoor dining and the 50th anniversary of the Pride March and the 51st anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. 

Please be aware that tonight begins the five day series of 5-minute fireworks which is, ostensibly, replacing July 4th fireworks with these smaller displays. They’ll take place at undisclosed locations to prevent crowds from gathering and, thus, risk spreading COVID-19. Im not in the mood for fireworks, but if we're going to have fireworks, it's best to do so in a way that prevents the kind of infection spikes that are setting new records every day across our country and across the globe.

For preventive measures, and in honor of sticking with what’s working, no matter what you do, cover your face, keep your distance and enjoy the rest of this final Monday of June.
