I hope this email finds you well on this warm Thursday in July. You too may wonder if things will ever, no matter how flat the curve , get back to a normal wouldn’t have received good grades anyway.Speaking of the abnormal and grading, what we thought of as “back to school” probably won't and shouldn't be the same unless a COVID-19 vaccine is ready sooner than even the most optimistic predictions would have it.

Tonight we hope to get some clarity about the back to school conundrum. We proudly co-sponsor a “Back To School Town Hall with Councilmember Lander . The town hall will feature leadership from the Department of Education, including Deputy Chancellor Adrienne Austin, Executive Superintendent Karen Watts, and District 15 Superintendent Anita Skop. Keep your eyes peeled, and you may notice the LinkNYC kiosks telling you it’s the place to be.

Below my signature, there are some more places to be, literally and virtually, such as the Old Stone House’s Beer & Botany walk tomorrow night . I recommend scrolling through it, note what interests you, and then remember to join the town hall this evening.
