As always, I hope this email finds you well. I'll be brief, but apropos of nothing, in particular, I'd wager certain state-centric songs by Ray Charles and Gladys Knight are very popular right now. Anyway, I'll shift my focus from the peach state to the Garden State. I mention New Jersey because our neighboring state, easily seen from Red Hook, maybe implementing new restrictions to slow COVID-19's spread.

Those pending restrictions should be a sufficient warning and reminder to people here in the Empire State and Kings County to keep our distance, cover our faces, and follow all other safety protocols. While some may welcome the warm weekend, the curve growing rounder is not welcome.
