I hope this email finds you well on this busy Monday in a week that will feature our first general board meeting of 2021.

Today, COVID-19 vaccine eligibility expanded to group 1-B, which includes those ages 75 and older, grocery store workers, first responders, transit workers, educators, as well as those living and those living or working in homeless shelters. Over the weekend, some 24/7 vaccination sites were opened. This should help in ramping things up.

It gets harder to fully activate 24/7 sites if subways are not also running 24/7. With that in mind, we, including over 35 board members, just this morning signed on to a letter to the Mayor, with the MTA cc’d urging the coordination between the city and the MTA to get on the same page and ensure that subways are clean and available at all hours that vaccines are available.
