I hope this email finds you well as we head into a holiday weekend when we honor the great Martin Luther King Jr’s life.

Moving to more immediate and mundane concerns, on Monday, January 18th, schools will be closed, alternate side parking and sanitation services will be suspended. Of significant concern, we expect the Gowanus rezoning to be certified this coming Tuesday, January 19th, as was announced via email and at our meetings last year and which has already been the subject of a few precertification meetings. When the plan is certified, it will start the clock on our charter mandated role in the Uniform Land Use Review Process (ULURP). Anyone receiving these emails, unless they should unsubscribe at this critical time, can be confident they’ll expeditiously hear more about the process, dates & documents.
